Ants in My House

First mice in the house and now there are ants,

They all march in a line, almost seeming to dance…

They waltz on the counters and tango in the sink,

In and out of the outlet, like skaters on a rink…

Those black little critters come in and go out,

Searching and smelling for food, no doubt…

They make quite a pattern as they come and they go

Marching and dancing and skating, oh no!!

How do they know from their secret hiding place,

That there’s a crumb on the counter from a donut that was glazed?

Somehow their sniffers must be truly high tech,

But the point to this poem is they’re making me a wreck!

I get out the Raid and kill the ones in sight,

But more come out in the wee hours of the night.

They dance and they skate and they march in a line,

But curve around those dead ants, all ready to dine,

On a morsel, a dribble, a crumb or a spill

I swear all these ants are making me ill!!

I Have a Mouse in my House

There’s a mouse in my house,

Nope…there’s three, oh no seven!

Holy Moly, these mice need

to see mousy heaven!!!

So out with the traps

and the arsenic too….

I bought D-Con and stickies

To catch twenty two?

Under the stove and behind

my new fridge..

They’re in cupboards and spaces….

Inside the door hinge….

Where do they come from

I want to know…

Why do they come in

to bother me sooooooooo???!!!

Well….9 dead in the traps,

and now in my trash,

Two flushed down the sewer

For the system to hash…

I’m sick and I’m wobbly

as I see beedy eyes

Staring back under the stove

This will be my demise…..

There are 20, no 40, no 80

me thinks….

This whole brand new house,

stinks, stinks, stinks, stinks!!!!

I’m sure I’m at war. I’ll win

wait and see…..

You rodents…watch out

A lady asked me the other day why I only recommend Preventive Pest Control for any pest control. Apparently she has some friends or relatives that I recommended you to. I told her there was a very good reason and I think, since it is Earth Day, I should share it with you.

Recently the Supreme Court said that corporations have the same rights as people. I don’t necessarily agree with that, but if they do, they should be held to the same standards, and not just corporations, but any company.

Everyone and every company has evolved to some degree, or, hopefully will. There are three tiers of evolution in my opinion. A single-tier company is mired in matters of the body (money, power, possessions, competitiveness and profit). Most pest control companies fall into this category. Some companies have evolved to the second tier which includes the mind (companionship, creativity, stimulation of new thoughts and ideas, new goals, new challenges and company growth. This is very good and only a few companies have attained this level. A very few, and Preventive is one of them, have evolved to the third level, which includes matters of the soul (life purpose, relationship to the environment, path of evolution, harmony and cooperation with clients and ultimate destiny). You are definitely a three-tier company and one of the very few in this industry.

You practice cooperation; cooperation with your customers, with the state and certainly with the environment. Most other companies practice competitiveness, which means they are only in business to make a buck. There isn’t anything wrong with making money, but not at the expense of customer’s health and the environment. Keep up the good work and Happy Earth Day and Happy Easter to you, your families and to your associates and their families.
