About Phoenix
Phoenix is an ever-growing city because of the beautiful Sonoran Desert and mild winters. With an average high temperature between 66 and 75 degrees in the winter and 99 to 105 in the summer the “Valley of the Sun” is appropriately named. The warm weather attracts people from all over the country. Our customers are from New York to Michigan to Washington. The promise of dry roads and plenty of sun shine draws people from all walks of life. Unfortunately, this climate is ideal for not only people, but pests also. When we get a few warm days in a row, it isn’t uncommon to see bees swarming and ants trailing even during the winter months.
With so much growth in Phoenix and the surrounding areas, our homes are being built on land that until recently belonged to insects, spiders and small vertebrates. If you own a home in the Phoenix area, it is located on what was once farm land or desert. The majority of these homes are frame homes with stucco exteriors. These homes are vulnerable to our aggressive species of termites. Luckily a trained eye can readily identify hetero-termes activity and with the correct treatment they can be managed and eradicated relatively quickly with little to no damage.
The benefits of living in Phoenix truly outweigh the nuisances. We could be shoveling snow or bracing for hurricanes. In choosing to live in this warm, dry climate we are made to deal with the scorpions, crickets, cockroaches and all other types of crawling pest. However bothersome they may be, the decision to come to, or stay in the Valley of the sun is a good one. At Preventive Pest Control Phoenix, we back that decision and are grateful for the opportunity to make your home a pest-free environment.
