With fall here, a large number of mice and rats will seek refuge in homes to keep safe for the coming winter. These rodents can easily enter a building through any hole. They swarm during spring and summer, which is why during the fall, these termites may have already started to build their colony. Termites are known to destroy billions in property each year and can even devalue a house property because of the damage that they can create. It is also difficult to locate or know if these pests have already infiltrated a home since workers are always in the nest. The only possible way to know whether these insects have already gone inside a home are if you see swarmers or if there are indications of their existence, such as cracked or distorted paint on the surface of the wood, mud tubes on the wall exterior, and frass.
